Lipstick that doesn’t last – is there anything more frustrating? Whether you’re at work all day or out for the night, you want your lipstick to last the duration while feeling comfortable too, but you might be having trouble finding a lipstick that fits the bill. How do you find lipsticks that stay on all day?
Fortunately, there are ways to make your lipstick last longer, and even lipsticks that are designed to stay on for longer, but remain looking great! To learn out more about longwear lipstick – including how to make it last longer – and our own range of long-lasting matte lipstick, read on.
How to make lipstick last longer
There are things you can easily do at home to help make your lipstick last longer. Try prepping your skin by removing dry or flaky skin that might be lingering. Furthermore, you might decide to use lip liner – particularly to the outlines of your lips.
As a base, it can be effective to use a foundation or concealer on your lips first, setting with translucent powder once you’ve applied the lipstick to help it stay on and last longer. Be careful when applying lip balm throughout the day, particularly if you feel like your lips need hydrating. As many lip balms contain oil, they can break down your lipstick – if you do use it, don’t use too much of it, and ensure that you let it absorb for a couple of minutes before getting rid of any excess with a tissue.
