Even complexion

To improve an uneven skin tone, consider combining effective skincare with lifestyle changes. First and foremost, protect your skin from the sun every day with a broad-spectrum SPF sunscreen, even indoors or on cloudy days, to help prevent further discolouration. Introducing products formulated with ingredients such as vitamin C, retinoids and niacinamide can help reduce visible discolouration and support skin renewal. Regular exfoliation with gentle scrubs or chemical exfoliants, such as AHAs or BHAs, helps remove dead skin cells. A healthy diet rich in antioxidants, alongside maintaining hydration with a good moisturiser, also supports skin health. Consistency in these practices is key to gradually achieving a more radiant, even complexion.

For uneven skin tone, Lancôme’s primary recommendation is the Clarifique Pro-Solution Brightening Serum with 10% PHA and niacinamide, which exfoliates the surface and helps block melanin transfer. Daily SPF is essential, as UV exposure is the primary cause of new pigmentation. Brightening refers to enhancing the skin’s natural radiance and luminosity by improving hydration, reducing dullness and fading dark spots for a healthier-looking glow. Lancôme uses brightening to describe products that enhance radiance and target hyperpigmentation without altering the skin’s underlying natural complexion.
