GREEN CULTIVATION

Green cultivation

Green cultivation encompasses agricultural processes that produce natural raw materials while respecting ecosystems and limiting environmental impact. The Perpetual Roses used in our Absolue skincare range are cultivated using sustainable methods in the south of France, at the Domaine de la Rose on the Plateau de Valensole.

BIOTECHNOLOGY

Biotechnologie Lancome

Biotechnology involves using living cells, such as plants or bacteria, as micro-factories to create new ingredients. This is how we produce ingredients such as the hyaluronic acid and probiotic fractions used in our Advanced Génifique line.

GREEN CHEMISTRY

Green chemistry lancome

Green chemistry enables the development of biodegradable molecules, with a lower environmental impact, and consuming less energy than conventional chemistry. We apply this green transformation principle to obtain the Pro-Xylane used in Absolue Soft Cream and the ferulic acid infused in Rénergie H.C.F. Triple Serum.

GREEN EXTRACTION

Lancome green extraction

Green extraction draws the most active molecules directly from plants, without any chemical processes. Active ingredients such as the PHA and beech bud extract in Clarifique products, and the rosewood extract used in Absolue The Serum are all extracted with this green method.
